Inclusive Ethiopia strategy 2026-2030
Inclusive Education
Inclusive Ethiopia seeks equitable access to quality, inclusive, and lifelong education for children, youth, and adults with disabilities.
Why inclusive education matters
Education is a fundamental human right and an important route out of poverty and exclusion. Inaccessible learning environments, inadequate teaching methods, stigma, and limited support services can prevent learners with disabilities from entering, participating in, and completing education.
Our strategic approach
Inclusive Ethiopia will work with schools, teachers, parents, education authorities, and communities to remove barriers and strengthen inclusive learning.
Priority actions
- Support accessible and welcoming learning environments.
- Strengthen teacher capacity for inclusive education.
- Promote early identification, intervention, and appropriate support.
- Advance access to assistive technologies and accessible learning materials.
- Build community awareness and support inclusive education policies.
The change we seek
Children, youth, and adults with disabilities can access, participate in, complete, and benefit from quality education throughout life.
