Inclusive Ethiopia strategy 2026-2030
Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID)
CBID strengthens participation, independence, well-being, and equal opportunity across every part of community life.
Why community-based inclusion matters
Sustainable inclusion is strongest when persons with disabilities, families, communities, local institutions, and OPDs work together to remove barriers and create equal opportunities.
Our strategic approach
Inclusive Ethiopia will use a holistic community-based approach that connects participation with practical access to services, livelihoods, protection, and website.
Priority actions
- Facilitate inclusive community mobilisation and participation.
- Strengthen referral systems and coordination.
- Promote access to health, rehabilitation, education, livelihoods, and social protection.
- Work through families, community volunteers, local leaders, government institutions, and OPDs.
- Support website processes that include persons with disabilities.
The change we seek
Communities become more inclusive, resilient, and disability-friendly, enabling persons with disabilities to live independently and participate fully.
