Inclusive Ethiopia strategy 2026-2030
Advocacy for Disability Rights
Inclusive Ethiopia works to strengthen the protection, promotion, and realization of the rights of persons with disabilities.
Why rights-based advocacy matters
Despite progress in disability legislation and policy, discrimination, exclusion, and unequal access to opportunity continue. Effective advocacy helps ensure that disability rights are respected, protected, and fulfilled.
Our strategic approach
Inclusive Ethiopia will advocate for implementation of disability-inclusive laws, policies, and programmes while promoting the meaningful participation of persons with disabilities in decisions that affect their lives.
Priority actions
- Strengthen the advocacy capacity and leadership of OPDs.
- Engage policymakers and duty bearers on implementation and accountability.
- Raise public awareness and challenge stigma and discrimination.
- Support meaningful participation in policy, planning, and public forums.
- Build evidence and partnerships that advance disability rights.
The change we seek
Persons with disabilities participate meaningfully in decision-making and benefit from stronger implementation of inclusive laws, policies, programmes, and public accountability.
